Bishop was the last to find possible evidence during the Baxter State Park SAR.
The finding of the old fire-pit seemed to attract the most attention of the
day.
Ø The Charleston Callout was
impressive. NSSAR had 7 people on the road within an hour. NSSAR had gotten within
30 miles of Charleston when we got the call (via cell phone) that the subject
had been located. NSSAR diverted to Baxter State Park for the following days
exercise. Reportedly, 150 SAR volunteers and 4 equestrian SAR units hit the
road sate wide.
Ø Wardens’ Service, State Police,
and other SAR units had many positive statements towards the NSSAR operation.
Ø Randy is still checking on the
bus for NSSAR.
Ø Quote for insurance for NSSAR.
The Cost will include liability for medical and property damage. Cost :$1065.00/year.
Ø The 50/50 raffle ticket fund
raiser was discussed. Northern Printers will extend credit to NSSAR and drop
the price for us. Ticket should be ready within 1 week to ten days.
Ø New hats will be made at a new
vendor. They will be screened on rather than stitched. We will use the SAR
patch emblem rather than the present on w/ exception of the Medical Officer.
Ø NSSAR will not march in the
Memorial Day Parade in PI. We will concentrate on the Potato Blossom Festival
in Fort Fairfield.
Ø June 17, Car Wash. Jason Bishop
and Zack Smith to organize facilities.
Ø Proposal by Jason Bishop to
hold a Golf Tournament fundraiser. Limestone Country Club has extended an
offer.

cellular phone bill during the Charleston/Baxter SAR.
